I recommend playing the piece at a relaxed tempo, the middle section should be emotionally tense, but do not overdo the tempo here. Play the piano part with the pedal, including the middle section. I leave the bowing of the cello to the performer. In some places the cello deliberately plays stronger than the flute for sound colour. Petr Bazala (*1976) is a Czech composer, concert pianist and music teacher. He graduated from the Jan Deyl Conservatory in Prague in accordion, piano and cello. As a music teacher he works at the Alfréd Radok Art & Music School in Valašské Meziříčí, lectures on improvisation and composition and is still actively performing. As a composer he writes compositions not only for pianists but also for other musical instruments, chamber ensembles, choirs and orchestras.
