Product description
"Canción y Danza no.1" are two recital pieces, the lyrical cantilena Canción and the rhythmically lively dance Danza, written for classical guitar by Antonio Ruiz-Pipó and prepared and revised for publication by guitarist Narciso Yepes.
Antonio Ruiz-Pipó (1934-1997) was a Spanish composer and pianist known for his unique synthesis of Spanish musical tradition and modern compositional techniques. Born in Granada, he studied in Barcelona and then settled in France, where he worked as a teacher and composer. His work was inspired by Andalusian folk music, which he enriched with elements of impressionism and neoclassicism. His compositions for guitar, which are part of the basic repertoire of this instrument, as well as chamber and piano music, are an important part of his work. Ruiz-Pipó was a respected teacher and his music has achieved international acclaim for its emotional depth and masterful fusion of traditional and modern elements. His legacy continues to inspire musicians around the world.
