The 25 pieces for treble recorder are a very welcome addition to the sparse literature for flute senza basso. Our edition is a selection from the "Capricen" for flute also published by Amadeus, transported according to the principles current in late Baroque practice. Concerning the question of authorship, still unsolved, we refer the reader to the comprehensive foreword to the "Capricen", which also descibes the sources and the revisionary problems encountered.
