Product description
Collection od nine piano pieces by Cesar Cui.
César Cui (originally Kjui)(1835 - 1918) was a Russian composer, music critic and army officer, of French and Lithuanian origin. Despite his admirable achievements as a professional military officer (he attained the rank of general), Cui is best known for his musical activities. He composed music and wrote music criticism only in his spare time, but he proved to be a very prolific and respected composer and critic. Cui composed in almost every genre of his time. A prominent place in his work is occupied by art songs, including many children's songs and some vocal duets. In addition, he wrote many works for piano and chamber ensembles, several orchestral works and 15 operas.
