Product description

Le Petit Negre is a well-known composition by Claude Debussy. Now we bring you this nice piece arranged by Petr Zapletal for recorder quartet (SSAT)

Claude Debussy (1862-1918) was a French composer and conductor, one of the most important representatives of musical impressionism. Debussy's style is characterized by subtle colours, rich harmonies, unusual tonal shifts and the ability to evoke dreamscapes, delicate moods and sensual impressions. Debussy's work influenced a number of composers and was at the birth of a new musical aesthetic that broke away from the strict rules of classical harmony. His music gives the impression of freedom, spontaneity and refined simplicity.

Petr Zapletal (* 1965) is a Czech composer, arranger and music teacher. He studied composition at the Brno Conservatory and, in addition to composing music, he is also teaching play the recorder at the music and art school in Brno. Petr Zapletal is using in his compositions elements of classical music, especially the Baroque period, but also jazz, rock and pop.
