Product description
The suite "Fight in Light" consists of nine movements and was written by Libor Kubánek for string orchestra and drumset. Due to this unusual instrumentation, felt mallets are prescribed for the drum kit players for dynamic balance to make the sound softer and less loud. For the same reason, the string orchestra should have the recommended scoring of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 in each voice. Increasing the number of voices will obviously be to the benefit and will achieve a better balance of sound with the drum kit.
The set includes the score including all parts.
Libor Kubánek is a Czech percussionist, composer and percussion teacher. He graduated from the Prague Conservatory of Music in 1985. Since 1991 he has been a member of the Prague State Opera Orchestra and has been teaching since 1992.
