Product description
Halvorsen's Passacaglia is based on Handel's theme and now we bring it to you in a piano arrangement for intermediate and more advanced pianists, written by the Finnish pianist Karl Ekman (1869 -1947).
Georg Friedrich Händel (1685 - 1759) was a German organist, harpsichordist, teacher and composer of the Baroque period, who left humanity a unique artistic heritage. We know more than 600 compositions from him, and many of his operas and oratorios are among the most valuable in European music. His music is generally characterized as festive, royal and attractive.
Johan Halvorsen (1864-1935) was a Norwegian composer, conductor and violinist. His compositions were a development of the national romantic tradition represented by Edvard Grieg.
