Jazz etudes 2 by Milan Dvořák, Czech pianist, composer and teacher at the Jaroslav Ježek Jazz Conservatory in Prague are pleasant, melodic and rhythmic studies from many of jazz styles and popular music  – ragtime, latin, boogie-woogie, blues and many more. The aim of this book is to teach the pianist the essential expression elements in jazz music. The title contains 25 musically grateful exercises and 3 songs in addition. All the songs and exercises of this book can serve very well as a performance songs and can help the adepts of piano jazz play to handle technical part and serves as a guide for future advance and own improvisation.
In 2015, the excellent Czech pianist and renowned pedagogue Martin Franěk recorded both volumes of jazz etudes on CD. At the link below you can listen to samples of all etudes and possibly buy recordings.
