Product description
The Jazz Microetudes is a book who offers you 11 short and easy jazz etudes for beginning pianists. The goal of these studies is to introduce beginning jazzmen how to phrase in jazz music, which is different from classical music. Etudes introduce and practice eighth notes phrasing, syncopes playing, walking bass, blues scale and the basics of improvisation and boogie-woogie. Before each exercise, there is a short recommendation for a correct jazz interpretation of the etude.
In the workbook, you will find a link to a website where you can download mp3 recordings and listen to how etudes should play properly.
Emil Hradecký (*1953) is a Czech composer, arranger and piano teacher, who is often inspired by dance music and jazz in his works. However, Emil Hradecký's work is very extensive and his "non-jazz" compositions are very melodic, pleasant to listen to and popular among teachers and their students
