Product description
Marosszék was an area in Romania that we now call Transylvania. The Dances of Marosszék are well-known folk songs and melodies from this area, which Zoltán Kodály arranged for solo piano in 1927.
Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967) was a Hungarian composer, musicologist, teacher and member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Together with Béla Bartók, he participated in the collection of folk songs and applied his folk knowledge to his compositional activities.
