Product description

"Largo and Allegro" is a recital piece written by composer Pietro Boni and edited and transposed by Himie Voxman for bass clarinet and piano.

Pietro Giuseppe Gaetano Boni (c. 1690 - c. 1750) was an Italian composer who became famous for his varied works during the Baroque period. He was probably born in Bologna and therefore probably received his musical education at the Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna. In 1711 he moved to Rome, where he was influenced by the school of Arcangelo Corelli. Boni's music is prized for its technical sophistication and aesthetic quality, and is typical of the elegant and sophisticated style of the Italian Baroque.

Himie Voxman (1912 - 2011) was an American musician, teacher, composer, editor and arranger, known for his many books of pedagogical compositions and literature for wind instruments.
