Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (1809 - 1847) was a German composer of the Romantic period. He was one of the most remarkable and greatest composers of his time. The main features of his compositions is tenderness, smile, calmness and extraordinary melodic ingenuity.
