Product description
Six Paganini Sonatas Op. 2 (MS 26), his Cantabile (MS 109) and Sonata concertata (MS 2) arranged for viola and classical guitar. In all compositions, the voices of both instruments blend naturally, creating an impressive and balanced duo that uses all the sonic possibilities of both the viola and the guitar. These chamber pieces represent the perfect introduction to Paganini's work and give violists the opportunity to enrich their concert repertoire with compositions by an author who is not yet performed very often on the viola.
Nicolo Paganini (1782-1840) was an Italian violinist, guitarist and composer. He composed and played very technically demanding violin compositions, which even today will be played by only a few violin masters. There are many stories about Paganini that cannot be verified, but thanks to them, Paganini is an almost mythical figure in the music world, and is often considered the greatest violin virtuoso of all time.
