Product description
Dances and Dance Melodies of the 17th and 18th Century. Arranger Jaroslav Krček (*1939) says to it: “Melodies from J.R.Rittersberk collection reach over to the 19th century. They are mostly anonymous folk compositions that were not intended for dance but for singing. However, the arranger seized their possible dancing qualities and thus he prepared them for an ensemble play. Upper three voices can be played by any soprano and alto instruments, e.g. violin, viola, flutes, oboes, clarinets, trumpets, French horns but also historical instruments, e.g. violas da gamba etc. The fourth line is composed for bass or tenor instruments such as cello, double bass, bassoon, trombone or tenor or bass gamba. The piano (cembalo) can be played also by harp or organ.“
