Product description
Completed in four days, these 24 fanciful miniatures capture some delightful observations and experiences that any youth might enjoy. This is the first American edition based on the composer's original manuscript. Since the pieces were published in 1878, they have become part of the standard educational piano literature and make a necessary addition to the Schirmer Performance Editions.
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) was a Russian composer who is considered one of the main representatives of musical romanticism. He wrote six symphonies, three piano concertos, several operas, a number of ballets (the most famous being Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Sleeping Beauty), a magnificent violin concerto in D major, and many chamber and vocal works.
