Leroy Anderson (1908 - 1975) was an American composer, arranger and conductor. He wrote many short concert pieces in a popular style. He is often described as "one of the great American masters of light orchestral music. Among his best-known compositions are Sleigh Ride, Blue Tango and The Syncopated Clock.
