Product description
The Complete Method of Horn by Lucien Thévet is a comprehensive three-volume horn method full of progressive etudes and exercises that will take you from the very beginning of horn playing in the first volume to intermediate horn playing in the third volume. The second volume of Méthode Complète de Cor builds smoothly on the first volume and helps to further develop and improve the technique of playing the French horn.Thévet's method book focuses on elements such as tone color, fingering, breathing, sound production, instrument holding, intervals, articulation and note values, and other musical aspects for the all-round development of horn technique.
Lucien Thévet (1914-2007) was a French horn player and teacher. In addition to orchestral playing (he was principal horn of the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra and the Paris Opera Orchestra), he played all the major solo repertoire. His style included vibrato, which was typical of the French horn school. He taught at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris and at the Conservatoire de Versailles.
