The composition Concertino - a fairy tale fantasy "From the story of the dragon's grandmother..." recalls famous fairy tales.
The composition is intended for intermediate violin students. The violin part offers practice in a number of more difficult techniques for the right and left hand: playing trills, doublets, higher positions (1st-4th position), bowing détaché, spiccato, legato, tone formation and sense of delivery.
Jan Vrkoc (*1969) is a Czech composer, violinist, music publicist and book designer. He studied violin at the Prague Conservatory and music composition at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. He is the author of over 100 compositions of various genres and musical styles. He writes mainly songs, but also pieces for chamber ensembles, stage music and orchestral compositions.
