Two trio suites in C major and Bb major by Johann Pachelbel for two violins and basso continuo (piano or cello). The publication include the playing score (piano accompaniment) plus separately inserted parts for violins and cello.
Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) was a German Baroque composer, organist and teacher, one of the most important composers of the Middle Baroque period. He composed a large number of sacred and secular compositions. His work enjoyed great popularity, he taught many pupils and his music became a model for most German composers. Today, his best-known work is the Canon in D major, which is one of the most famous pieces in classical music. His other well-known works include the organ pieces Chaconne in F minor and Toccata in E minor.
