Many years ago, I was captivated by music of American jazz pianist Chick Corey and especially by his album of piano pieces called ‘Children songs’. His music with its straightforwardness resembles jazz improvisation and at the same time evokes principle of children's play. The fascination with Corey’s music was an impulse for me to try to write my own musical fantasies, which would be based on simple ditty and the joy of playing, the joy of rhythm and captivating harmony. I believe that the musical worlds of classical music, children's songs and jazz will be interconnected and merge… “ Jaroslav Šimíček.
The publication brings you four nice recital pieces with a jazz touch for flute and piano.  There's a link in the publication where you can download audio files, both, demo recordings and piano accompanimet only in mp3 format. Recordings are made from the notation program in which the pieces were written. Audio files are listed here to give you an idea of  how the pieces sound and piano accompaniments can be used to home rehearse the songs.
