Milan Svoboda (*1951) is a Czech jazz musician, composer, conductor and pedagogue. He graduated from the organ department of the Prague Conservatory, studied musicology at the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University, composition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and worked as a scholarship student at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. As a jazz pianist and bandleader he has gained a great international reputation. His creative range as a composer and conductor is very wide, from modern jazz to musical, film and stage music to contemporary classical music.
