Product description

A set of eighteen songs (respectively sixteen – two songs are repeated in two different transpositions) to the texts of Czech and Moravian folk poetry, which Miroslav Raichl wrote in the years 1986–1988. Many of the songs follow the basic rhythmic outline and melodic flow of the original folk versions. The melodic range of the tunes allows the interpretation of songs with different voice types and positions. The lyrics are in Czech.

Miroslav Raichl (1930-1998) was a Czech music composer. His work covers almost all areas of music, he wrote operas, symphonies, pieces for chamber ensembles, choirs and songs. From the beginning of his composing activity, he devoted himself to vocal work, which represents the most numerous item in his work. He wrote satirical songs and chansons, and excelled especially in his works for children's choirs. He also liked to work in folk songs, where he most often set folk poetry texts to music.
