Gordon, Jacob

Gordon Percival Septimus Jacob (1895-1984) was an English composer and teacher. He was a professor at the Royal College of Music in London from 1924 until his retirement in 1966. He was very prolific as a composer, and the list of his works numbers over 700, mostly his own compositions, but a substantial minority are orchestrations and arrangements of works by other composers.
