Nelhybel, Václav

Václav Nelhýbel (1919 - 1996) was a Czech composer, pedagogue and conductor. He lived permanently in the United States since 1957 and he had been a teacher at many American universities, but has also taught in Canada, Mexico, and Australia. He was a versatile composer, author of many concert compositions for large wind orchestras. He has written dozens of symphonic, chamber and vocal compositions, as well as many compositions for children.
