Clara Nováková is a Czech flutist, composer and teacher. At the age of six she emigrated with her parents and sister, living in Denmark, Italy and Germany. She is an internationally acclaimed flutist and was a soloist with the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris for many years. She is very committed to contemporary music, has collaborated extensively with many composers and has been the dedicatee of numerous musical works. She has recorded for radio and television in many European countries. She is currently (2024) professor of flute at the University of Zushou, China. She is the daughter of composer Jan Novak (1921-1984)
