Růžičková, Kateřina

Kateřina Piňosová - Růžičková (*1972) is a Czech composer and musicologist. From the age of eight, she learned to play the piano at the Music and Art School, where she also began composing. She studied musicology and aesthetics at Masaryk University and composition at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. She has worked as an editor and dramaturge of music programmes on Czech Television and has been teaching piano, music theory and composition for a long time. She is the author of chamber, orchestral, vocal and electroacoustic compositions. Her compositions have been awarded many times in composition competitions.
